An Irish man is being held in prison indefinitely for speaking the truth. And by “truth” I don’t mean his truth. I mean the actual truth that most of humanity has known for pretty much all of eternity.

Ireland has been showing its true colors lately. So I am sure you would not be surprised to be informed that the Irish government puts people in jail for being politically incorrect.

According to the Daily Mail:

“Enoch Burke – who taught History and German – refused to refer to a transitioning transgender student as 'they' rather than 'he' in May last year.

It sparked a chain of events that has led to him being jailed for repeatedly showing up at Wilson's Hospital School in County Westmeath after being sacked, and entering the staff room saying he was there to do his job.

Now he remains in Dublin's Mountjoy Prison with no prospect of release because he refuses to comply with a court order to stay away from the school premises.”

And this is all happening in a so-called "Liberal Democracy."

They de facto jailed the teacher for being dramatically correct rather than politically correct. When members of society attempt to legislative "correct language" they usually are not on what you may call "the right side of history."

We currently live in a time when educators who educate are punished while edumactors are praised. But I think the most infuriating part about all of this is that "they" is grammatically incorrect. And the reason they have to force this man to use this terminology is because it is a lie. Typically, you don't have to force someone to say something if it is true.

According to the Daily Mail, he is being held because he violated the court order. Not because he refused to acquiesce to blatant lies.

"The row broke out more than a year ago, when during a meeting with the headteacher and his deputy, Burke said that his Evangelical Christian beliefs meant he 'opposed transgenderism'.

Following this, Burke publicly criticised the headteacher's 'demand' that staff use students' chosen pronouns, following a service at the Church of Ireland school to celebrate its 260th anniversary.

Burke was accused of 'breaching the confidence' of the transitioning student, and as a result, the teacher was suspended with pay and later fired for gross misconduct in August last year.

However, Burke continued showing up at the school – prompting his former employer to obtain a court order to get him to stay away.

In September last year, Burke was jailed for 100 days for ignoring the court order.

During an appeal, the teacher argued that he was being imprisoned because of his Christian beliefs.

After being released, Burke was imprisoned for the second time in September this year for refusing to stay away from the school again – and has been told he will remain in prison indefinitely until he agrees to comply with the court order."

Just imagine this instead. A student says he is a duck. You are instructed to refer to that student as a duck. You refuse to do so as it is a blatant lie. You are fired. But because that lie is so evil, you protest with an act of civil disobedience. That is technically what happened here.

The gender-bender lie is so evil and so destructive to children, that this teacher feels as if this act of civil disobedience is necessary to fight this. And maybe in 10 years, his students will know he was on the right side of history all along.
