Over the weekend, a GOP tent got in the way of a van driving through a Walmart parking lot. Thankfully, the van was unharmed. However, in a shocking turn of events, it turns out that the van may have been targeting the tent. At least, according to the assclown driving, who bragged to police that he was targeting the tent.
In a new redacted arrest report, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said that Gregory Timm “advised that he does not like President Trump” after officers interviewed him at his residence the day of the alleged attack. The report added that another reason he drove his van through the tent was because “it’s like someone shitting on your grave.” A third motivating factor was redacted.
Oh, a third motivating factor was redacted. Wonder if it also pointed to this guy just hating Republicans.
Police made contact with Timm at his residence, and they noted that he agreed to come out of his house and talk about the incident. Timm stated that he first saw the voter registration tent after visiting Walmart earlier that day. He also showed police videos he shot on his cellphone of him driving toward the tent.
“The suspect was upset that the video ended before ‘the good part,’” the report said.
Trump Derangement Syndrome shows itself in many ways (see Happy Valentine’s Day! Slate Says Donald Trump is Ruining Sex and Professor Shoots Himself to Protest Trump). However, attempted vehicular homicide should get much more media attention than it’s getting — at least as much attention as a high school student in a red hat smiling at an indigenous person of color. But that doesn’t fit the narrative.
So a guy trying to run over Trump supporters is just a local crime story, not something elevated to a national conversation about how the Left’s rhetoric is inspiring people to violence. In other breaking news, the media doesn’t pick sides.
