Dems have had a lot of very good polls from Iowa, Mich & Ohio.
But are polls underestimating the GOP again? In all 3 states, GOP did better by 5+ pt in 2024 than polls had at this point.
Same thing in Trump's 1st midterm.
Same happens in 2026? GOP probably holds the Senate. pic.twitter.com/NZYxhGyRgd

If you're someone who thinks all polls you disagree with are fake, you're a silly person.
Also, if you're a candidate who, regardless of polls, isn't running in 2026 as if you're three points down with only five points up for grabs, you're a silly candidate.
However, if you are a blackpilling doomer or a dooming blackpiller who is looking at numbers and giving up on November, CNN's Harry Enten brings up a good point.
Donald Trump and the GOP, over the past few cycles, have been overperforming the polls. To the tune of five or more percentage points, which is well outside the margin of error.
Thus, making the polls just errors.

There is definite bias in a lot of the pollsters. Polls are also turning into little more than engagement bait, where anyone who takes a poll can go viral on the X-Twitters. But as far as the overperformance goes, I have a theory.
If you're like me, you're a political minded and spend a lot of time on the internets. Considering you are reading a political blog on the internets, I'll assume you are like me.
That means you have the experience over the past 12-15 years of expressing the most milquetoast of barely right-leaning political opinions and having every liberal you've ever known in your life coming out of the woodwork to attack you for it.
Now have a complete stranger call you on the phone and ask you for your opinion on Donald Trump.
At least 5% could tell the pollster whatever they want to hear just to not be bothered.
That's if they even answer the phone in the first place.
Seriously, it's 2026. Who the hell answers the phone when they don't recognize the number? I assume you're either a politician, a scammer, or a bill collector. Either way, I'm not giving you any of my money.
Bottom line: don't let polls guide your actions as to whether you vote or not. That's silly. It's also gay and retarded.
