CLAIM: Illegals commit fewer crimes than native born Americans.
SOCRATIC: Why do you think that?
TRUTH: Illegals are 1.4x-5.4x as likely to be incarcerated compared to lawful citizens. Sources: FAIR, CityJournal

CLAIM NO. 3
CLAIM: Only violent criminals should be deported.
TRUTH: Should only violence-related laws be enforced? What about fraud? Bernie Madoff? What should be the punishment for breaking the law and coming here illegally? Violent criminal illegals should be the priority, but the law must be enforced equally. Therefore, any illegal found in the course of tracking down violent illegal criminals must be deported.
CLAIM NO. 4
CLAIM: ICE IS DEPORTING AMERICAN CITIZENS
TRUTH: It’s legally impossible to deport an American citizen. No adult citizen has been deported.
CLAIM NO. 5
CLAIM: ICE is splitting up families.
TRUTH: No. U.S. citizen minors are accompanying their deported illegal parents
CLAIM: Well I agree with dealing with illegal immigrants, but the WAY we’re doing it is wrong. ICE raids and violently apprehending them isn’t the right way!
SOCRATIC: Okay so what way would be more humane or preferable to you?
TRUTH: Illegal immigrants can get a paid-for flight to their country of origin as well as $1,000 to self deport through CBP ONE app. Source: DHS
CLAIM NO. 6
CLAIM: Immigrants aren’t getting due process.
TRUTH: What due process are they not receiving? Has any deported person proven that they rightfully were a citizen?
One? Illegals are getting all the process they are due (which is to be sent home)
- Deportation
- is not a criminal penalty
- does not require a criminal trial
- Therefore, not subject to criminal due process
- Sending someone home is simply correcting an error
CLAIM: The Constitution grants the right to due process to all people within the United States
TRUTH: Different issues have different due process
- The only process due to a person here illegally is to be repatriated to their home country
- Getting caught is not an opportunity to raise all sorts of issues (I need asylum) and have a long drawn-out trial
- Prove you’re here legally or be deported, that’s it.
- A Visa or a Green Card are privileges therefore, the process due in revoking them is very low
- Don’t assume the highest level of due process applies like in a criminal trial
CLAIM NO. 7
CLAIM: The US economy needs immigrants!
TRUTH: Why? There are 7.4M unemployed Americans able to work who need jobs first. Source: BLS

CLAIM: Migrants do the jobs that Americans won’t.
TRUTH: Americans will do any job for a fair wage and good working conditions, which this system often undercuts

TRUTH: Is it possible to stop all murders? Is it possible to stop ALL theft? How about ALL identify fraud? It’s incumbent on the government to try.
