Women’s prisons are just that -- women’s prisons. This is what makes it bizarre that California has installed condom vending machines, when these institutions are intended to be segregated by sex. However, considering that leftists woke up one day and decided gender was no longer a thing, this story now exists. And to claim state officials are greatly jeopardizing the safety of incarcerated women would be an understatement.
Speaking with Jan Jekielek, senior editor with The Epoch Times, Amie Ichikawa, a founder of WomanIIWoman, discussed a California law that was passed five years ago, which allowed males to be housed in female prisons because of trans compassion or whatever.
It’s been over five years since a law came into effect allowing biological men into women’s prisons in California if they identify as transgender, and the consequences have been devastating, says Amie Ichikawa, an advocate for female inmates and founder of Woman II Woman.“These are men that are tattooed from head to toe. 33.8 percent are registered sex offenders.”“They were advertised as delicate flowers who needed a safe place to do their time, and they sent the exact people that they said they wouldn't send.”“They said: there would be no sex offenders; there would be no woman beaters; there would be no one with a long history of violence against women. And that's exactly who they sent.”“I can't think of any worse demographic of people to send into the women's prison, knowing that 92 percent of that population are survivors of some kind of sexual abuse.”“These people don't even have to present as female.”“When they started to install the condom machines into the women's prisons after the transfers started, I thought there's nothing lower than this. Nothing.”@ichinita310 @womaniiwomaninc @IWF

Again, this video should not exist because we are supposed to be living in a sane society. Clearly, though, California is no longer sane. What a shame.
Per a March article from the New York Post:
The Department of Justice confirmed Thursday it’s launching an investigation into whether California policies that allow trans inmates to transfer to women’s correctional facilities violates the rights of female prisoners — as a disturbing rape case involving a trans convict who allegedly impregnated a fellow inmate unfolds.
Amie Ichikawa, a founder of WomanIIWoman, a nonprofit organization providing reentry services for incarcerated women, called the investigation a “source of hope and light for the women inside who have been completely silenced and gaslit.”
You actually don't need to be a legal expert to understand that housing men in women's prisons does, in fact, violate their rights. Are we really going to dance around these serious violations?
The DOJ’s investigation is focused on women’s facilities in California and Maine, including the California Institution for Women in San Bernardino County and Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla.
The Central California Women’s Facility — where Ichikawa also spent roughly four years after a drug-related assault conviction in 2009 — is also the site of a rape case that roiled advocates for sex-exclusive spaces.
The fact that the state had condom dispensers installed tells you all you need to know. And even if some male prisoners are truly gender confused, which I hardly doubt is the case for many of these incidents, why must the left still jeopardize the safety of women-only spaces?
The fact that these are the same people not only pretending to fight against the patriarchy, but also for criminal justice reform, is baffling. But again, these types of double standards are only possible among the most sinister leftists. What a disgrace.
According to Ichikawa, “They said: there would be no sex offenders; there would be no woman beaters; there would be no one with a long history of violence against women. And that's exactly who they sent.”
This is unacceptable, to say the very least.
Maybe one day the left will fight for the safety of female inmates the way they do for males who have been convicted of serious crimes, but until then, do not expect anything more than condom vending machines. The fact that this is not satire is incomprehensible.
