A 15-year-old British teen was arrested for criticizing a politician. That is because you can't do that in the U.K., as they do not have this little thing called Freedom of thought. Authorities have yet to decide if they will charge him with a crime, considering he probably did not commit one, but if this does not sum up Europe’s anti-free speech laws, nothing does.
🚨 British teen ARRESTED over Facebook post.Fraser: “I had posted a numerous amount of posts criticizing the councillor… And I must have hit his nerve a bit, so he reported me to the police.”“As an elected official you’re supposed to be there to represent the people, not to be sitting on your phone getting paid to do nothing.”

LOL. Sounds like this kid has got a bright future ahead of him. Unfortunately, though, this is what happens when you make up this insane notion that “hate crimes” are somehow a thing authorities must prosecute. Does the kid not have a right to hate an elected official? This should be a reminder to all Americans why the First Amendment exists.
According to The Telegraph:
Fraser, a 15-year-old schoolboy, was asleep in bed when four police officers knocked on the door of the family home, a modest two-up-two-down on an impoverished housing estate on the fringes of Walsall in the West Midlands.
But it appears a handful of posts on Facebook had so upset a Tory councillor on the Wolverhampton city council that he had made a complaint to police.
In one post, Fraser complained that the councillor was dressed inappropriately by wearing shorts and a T-shirt to a meeting and in another – when the councillor had worn a suit – commented that he was on that occasion thankfully not dressed like a “rent boy”.
Because of posts like this, four officers were sent to his home to arrest him. Yes, four officers.
Two months on, police and prosecutors are still to decide whether to charge the teenager in a case that his lawyers say raises serious questions about freedom of speech and whether police are abusing their powers to pursue so-called “hate” crimes.
If it takes over two months to decide whether or not a crime has been committed, that tells it all. This story is more than enough proof of why freedom of speech is so crucial, as one day, a politician who gets upset could send the Gestapo after you.
