While I am not here to tell you that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is a lying buffoon, I am here to tell you the truth is not on her side.
Bass, who is running for a second term despite the zombie apocalypse being worse than ever before, as well as the fact that she oversaw parts of her jurisdiction burn down, believes she has bragging rights. And well, let’s just say the lies were blatant.
This isn’t even remotely true.

According to Bass, the reason she first ran for Mayor was because of the homelessness crisis. She now claims that after her first term, she has reduced homelessness by 11% and veteran homelessness by 50%.
LOL! Shout out to community notes. Data currently proves homeless numbers are at 45,194. In 2022, it was 41,980. That does not seem like a decrease of 11%, does it?
Just to take a trip down memory lane:
Karen Bass said she’d end street homelessness by 2026.It’s 2026 and it hasn’t ended. It’s getting worse. Is that considered a flip-flop? https://t.co/G6lIylMtAR

It is 2026, and things have not ended. But sure, let her brag about doing nothing. The fact that she will very likely be handed a second term, while effectively increasing the homeless population, is truly astonishing. Do the voters just not get it? What a total shame.
It is also ironic how the more the city spends on the crises, the worse things seem to get. Why do you think that is?
🚨 WOW: Los Angeles took in about a billion federal dollars for homelessness and couldn't say where it went. Trump turned off the tap."If you cut off the money, then the grift stops."Now Karen Bass is reportedly rallying her supporters to pack a Zoom meeting to fight over who controls the next pot of homeless money. The streets are still full. Somebody got rich, and it wasn't the homeless.

People have GOT to start holding their leaders accountable. And to call this unacceptable would be an understatement.
