Angie Nixon, a Florida State Representative who believes she is the right fit to serve in the U.S. Senate, has decided to double down on recent remarks she made calling for jailing her political opponent, and it is worse than you think.
Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon defends her previous comments that her GOP opponent Ashley Moody should be jailed, telling @margbrennan “it’s not a desire to weaponize the justice system.”“It's designed to actually hold corrupt politicians accountable,” Nixon says, calling for a Justice Department investigation into the Hope Florida scandal, in which Moody has denied wrongdoing.

Someone should remind her that in America, people have rights. Just because you disagree with your political opponent or have a hunch about a vague accusation does not mean that is grounds for an investigation or prosecution. Typically, you need evidence of a crime first.
These are the remarks she is doubling down on:
Angie Nixon: “They're spreading lies saying I want to abolish prisons... Why would I want to do that when I want Ashley Moody locked up and jailed?” CNN: “You want your Republican opponent locked up?” Angie Nixon: “I absolutely want that to happen.” https://t.co/ZOoGoosFsv

How is she not embarrassed to double down on such tyrannical and delusional rhetoric? Someone should really inform her that prosecuting your political opponent is no longer a winning campaign strategy, as proven by the left's efforts to go after Trump.
According to The Hill:
“It’s not a desire to weaponize the justice system. It’s designed to actually hold corrupt politicians accountable for what they’re doing,” Nixon said. “Again, I want an investigation done. I would like the Department of Justice to investigate because nearly $10 million was stolen from sick kids, and people are pointing the finger saying they don’t know who did it, and so we need to bring that in.”
“Look, this is Donald Trump 2.0 here in the state of Florida, and we really need to work to push back. I’m wondering how many kids are going to die because 10 million dollars was taken from Medicaid that was supposed to make sure that those sick kids had the treatment that they needed,” she continued.
Just imagine a Republican made similar remarks about their political opponent. The left would never let it go, and we would be slapped with propaganda about fake threats to Democracy, despite her wishes being akin to tyranny.
That being said, the fact that she does not even hide this proves how much the left believes they are above the law. But what else is new?
