Uh Oh! Those 'Women Only' Wonder Woman Screenings? They Were Illegal!
Who's a bully, whines about microaggressions, and stuffs its face with burgers while demanding you call it beautiful? A feminist (see ‘Fit Mom’ Calls out Tess Holliday Over Her Criticism of a Fat Loving Man and CANNIBALISM: Leftists Attack Liberal Darling Chloe Moretz for ‘Fat Shaming’). Another riddle. What establishment is facing legal action after denying access to men based on them being men? The movie theater who screened "women only" Wonder Woman showings. Sweet, golden lasso, justice.
An Austin movie theater is being accused of violating anti-discrimination laws after promoting women-only screenings of “Wonder Woman.” In June, Alamo Drafthouse, a theater chain, announced it would be holding women-only screenings in Austin. It later expanded those screenings to New York and Denver.
Now the chain has apologized for the screenings in a letter to the city.
The complaints were filed by Albany law professor Stephen Clark and an anonymous man. Clark, a gay lawyer specializing in sexual orientation and employment law, explained that the promotion of the screenings didn’t sit well with him. “I’m a specialist in anti-discrimination law, so I was fairly certain that this was not lawful,” he told MyStatesman. “If they were trying to do a gay-only ‘Brokeback Mountain,’ I would feel the same way.”
Clark = Super Man. I'll stop now. But sometimes the cheese-factor can't be stopped.
As it turns out, the complaints have at least some legal merit. Austin city equality codes ban any public accommodation — such as a movie theater — from limiting their services for individuals based on factors including race, color, sex, sexual orientation and gender identification.
See, if the theater said they were having a "men only" showing of Goodfellas, feminists would cackle so loudly all local glass windows would shatter. Feminists love promoting and defending "equality" so long as that "equality" only benefits their hind end in all their jiggling glory. Say no to spandex, ladies. Otherwise, attack men, even the gay ones. Who should also say no to spandex.
Feminists just can't lasso a break with Wonder Woman. They had such high hopes for the film, and it failed them at every high-booted step.
