Over the weekend, we told you about Shanteari Weems shooting her husband in a Washington, DC, hotel room. Details were sketchy, other than she shot her husband because she had found out he was molesting children at her daycare. So, like, she had a good reason for shooting him. The Daily Mail reports some further details into the incident.

Most importantly is that the husband, James Weems Jr., has been arrested "on suspicion of abusing three girls while working at his wife's daycare."

They were taking a "staycation" (hence the hotel room) when Shanteari started getting text messages from parents telling her what had happened and that they filled a complaint with the police. Shanteari confronted her husband about the allegations. He came at her, which is when she grabbed the gun she had in her purse and blasted him

Shanteari may not have expected to be leaving the hotel room alive because she started taking notes about what happened, why, and what she was feeling.

"I want him to face the world as scum."

"I hope he gets beat up in jail."

She also left a note that she was going to paralyze him and that he was going to pay. Another note stated, "I want these kids to get justice."

My personal favorite: "My only regret for me is that I didn't put the bullet in your head."

Shanteari is in jail on gun and domestic violence charges. A GoFundMe was set up to help pay for her legal expenses. It was shut down because GoFundMe sucks.

This is the third incident of child molestation at a daycare center that has made the news in as many months. Here's hoping for swift justice that includes Shanteari being given a medal and James locked away somewhere in an uncomfortable place.
