Russell Brand thinks something needs done about ISIS. His solution? Get rid of the alienation in Western society. Yes, according to Russell Brand People from all over the world are joining ISIS not due to Islamic theology, but because…they feel alienated. Alienated because of… Capitalism. Duh. Watch, then read more below.
I cannot re-iterate this enough. In Russell Brand’s mind, the blame for ISIS lays squarely upon the shoulders of us capitalists. We are so greedy that we alienate our young folk. And make them go behead people. This man fancies himself the voice of reason, and Conservatives to be extremists.
Here’s the glaring flaw in Russell’s premise: this has generally started happening in recent years. And in recent years, capitalism has been slowly but surely being replaced with socialism and egalitarian of outcome-ism. Yeah, I made that term up, but it’s descriptive. Our problematic ‘free market’ has been slowly disappearing. So you think this ‘social issue’ of Brand’s would be getting better, not worse. Maybe socialism is the problem, Brand?
Nah. That’s impossible. We all know capitalism causes ISIS. And just to prove it to us, at the 9:43 mark in his rant, Russell tells us:
Until we the people become engaged in politics, society, mythology, and our own culture narrative…
Mythology, Russell? Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
