Strap in, buckaroos. It's going to be an amazing day on Twitter. President Trump mocked the way Democrats are running around scared of a "29-year old bartender."

There is zero chance that bartender doesn't clap back today. And less than zero chance Trump doesn't... whatever clapping back at a clap back is.

The Green New Deal. The first time I heard it, I said, 'That’s the craziest thing.' You have senators that are professionals, that you guys know, that have been there for a long time ... and they’re standing behind her shaking. They’re petrified of her.

Republicans have already started running against the GND (see Dan Crenshaw Challenges New York to Adopt the Green New Deal and Senator Mocks the Green New Deal with Star Wars, Ronald Reagan). The president is just getting his 2020 campaign warmed up.

I thought Trump's line of attack here was mostly smart. He didn't hit AOC with one of his trademark names. If anything, he was mostly complimentary towards what a "wonderful young woman" she is. Where the president directed his fire was on the actual legislation and how far to the left it's dragging the Democrats. Yet Democrats are afraid to say anything because the media, other liberal activists, and the left's clickbait industrial complex have all dubbed her the new intellectual thought leader of the entire Democrat Party.

If I were advising Trump, I'd just maybe have him cool it on the cracks about only being 29. I know we're not supposed to say this out loud, but he did get less individual votes than his opponent last election. If we're going to win in 2020, we need new voters. Which means convincing the younger ones to vote for Trump. He needs to be careful about alienating them.

But he's mocking one of the dumbest among them. So I won't be too critical.
