So much attention has been made about how disliked the Republican frontrunner is, but every now and then, SNL likes to reminds us just how disliked the Democrat frontrunner is…
This week “Saturday Night Live” targeted Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, portraying the former secretary of state as a candidate so eager for votes that she would literally transform who she is in order to win more supporters.
“There’s a lot of work to be done, and that is why I’m sick and tired of hearing about my own damn emails!” McKinnon says in a voice that at first sounds like Clinton, but gradually shifts to full-on Bernie voice.
Of course we fully expect SNL to fall in line when Hillary gets the nomination, but the way they have been portraying her as of late has been brutal (see SNL Absolutely DESTROYS Hillary Clinton. And it’s Perfect and SNL Delivers Most Hilarious/Brutal Portrayal of Hillary Yet!).
Accurate, spot on, funny. But still brutal. As with any humor, there’s an element of truth to this message. Hillary might be the current front-runner when it comes to delegate numbers, but she’s by no means a favorite of the voters. Her rallies are coming up short. Her voters are as enthusiastic as, well… Hillary voters.. Also, she’s under FBI investigation. So there’s that.
Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, the man who’s being open and honest about his socialist platform, is winning a lot of support. He’s no spring chicken either. He’s an old, white, socialist male… and he’s the one getting all the love. What does that tell you?
As for Hillary’s disapproval rating…
