Roseanne Barr and John Goodman recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Like many other classical shows from the nineties, the show “Roseanne” is due for its time in the comeback sun. Do our modern sitcoms suck so hard we have to do a Lazarus on the old ones? That’s a question for another time. Roseanne, both in real life and on the show, voted for Donald Trump. This had our favorite cry baby, Jimmy, in a twist. Full clip below:
Notice how it’s Jimmy Kimmel who immediately shifts the focus from a resurrected comedy show to politics. Asking Roseanne “Weren’t you friends with Hillary? What happened?” Gross hijacking of Hillary’s book title. Even Roseanne turns to John Goodman to say “Why is he asking me this?”
But the political discussion continued. The juicy moment is when Roseanne, who’s not exactly captain of Club Sanity, accuses Jimmy Kimmel’s leftist movement of “Going so far out there, you lost everybody!” She’s not wrong, either. Look at these stories for reference:

When Roseanne lectures you on “going far out there” you know you’re about to fall off the edge of the flat earth. But so nuts over Trump has the mainstream left become, now even Roseanne Barr sounds reasonable in comparison.
