WATCH: Joe Rogan and Dr. Phil Bust the Myth of "Everyone is Equal"
One of the biggest differences between the right and left is "equality of opportunity" vs "equality of outcome." The right says as long as we all have the same basic chances, it's up to you what you make of it. Leftists want to convince you that you can't survive on your own without their help. And want to legislate their way to whatever they call "fairness" that week. Joe Rogan and Dr. Phil think that's silly.
You cannot legislate that everything is going to be equal to everybody. Because everybody's not equal. They may be equal in terms of their value as a human being. But they're not equal in math skills. They're not equal in how fast they run. They're not equal in creativity. Everyone has their own value. But that doesn't mean their marketable skills in an open market are going to be the same.
Regardless of how much the left tries otherwise (see Transgenders Now Excused from Air Force Fitness Test. Because…Equality?! and Woman Hired to FDNY Despite Failing All Physical Tests… Because #SJW “Equality”). Rogan's example of the female Secret Service agent is an eye-opening one. Secret Service agents have one job. Protect the President of the United States. It's a kind of important job. I don't want "fairness" when it comes to protecting the leader of the free world.
I actually don't want fairness when it comes to physical protection of anything. The best person should be hired for the job, regardless of what the job is. Here's the thing: we're all good at something, but we're not all good at the same thing. Which means we cannot all have the same experiences, the same outcomes, or the same chances, because we're not the same. But the left wants to make equality sameness.
