WATCH: Joe Biden Says We're OBLIGATED to Give Illegals Healthcare
If you're a Democrat running for president, you're pandering your way across America. Which in California, means telling everyone how illegal immigrants are bae. They love themselves some undocumented Californians out on the left coast (see California Appoints First Illegal Immigrant to Government Job and New Bill Allows ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to Practice Law in California. Yes, Really…). Enter former Vice President Joe Biden. The "moderate" candidate in the race. He says not only should illegals get free healthcare, but that we're obligated to give it to them. Oh, Joe.
"I think that anyone who is in a situation where they're in need of healthcare, regardless of whether they are documented or undocumented, we have an obligation to see that they are cared for. That's why I think we need more clinics around the country."
Instead of more clinics, how about fewer people in this country illegally?
Let's even set aside the immigration argument for a second. How many of you agree healthcare needs to be made more affordable and effective? Common ground found? Good.
There's a difference between affordable and effective, and free. When "we" give someone something -- and you'd assume the "we" Biden is referring to are the American taxpayers -- it becomes more expensive for someone else. There aren't enough millionaires and billionaires and people making $250k a year to raise taxes to give everyone healthcare. Now Democrats want to increase the number of people we're expected to give it to.
It doesn't work like that. Mathematically, ethically or legally. But hey, it'll sound compassionate in a commercial.
