When we last left Charles Barkley, he was having a good laugh at Jussie Smollett's expense. But now the Chicago DA has dropped all charges, it's not funny anymore (see Top 10 Reactions to Jussie Smollett’s Dropped Charges and Chicago Superintendent, Mayor Emanuel Nail Jussie Smollett: “This is a Whitewashing of Justice”). As Sir Charles told TMZ.

So, now that the 16 felony charges Smollett was facing for allegedly lying to police have been dropped -- we wondered if Barkley would back off Jussie.

Spoiler Alert: NO.

We asked Chuck if he thinks Jussie skated -- he replied, "That's an understatement."

The basketball legend then talked about how badly the cops got screwed here. Not to mention, gay and/or black people who have been victims of actual bias attacks because of their gayness and/or blackness. Which is the real crime here. We can argue if these attacks happen as frequently as the Democrats running for president claim they happen. But they happen. And a major hoax like Jussie Smollett gives more people pause when claims of an attack are made.

Seeing the actor not only walk but still claim that he's the real victim here just sucks for everybody.
