WaPo Caught Harassing Victims of Illegal GiveSendGo Hack, Challenging Them on Donation to Canadian Truckers
GiveSendGo became the official fundraising platform used by people who wanted to support the Freedom Convoy. The convoy was using GoFundMe, but that platform sold out to threats by the Canadian government. The Canadian government that later declared war on its citizens and considers crowdfunding sites to be money launderers. Somewhere in the middle, GoveSendGo was hacked and all the donors' private information was posted online. The media, instead of investigating who was behind the hacking, started to target the victims of the hack instead. You know, since they're the ones who have the bad opinions in the eyes of the media, an institution that is totally not the enemy of the people.
It started with Trudeau's state media outlet contacting small-dollar donors to ask "questions." The Washington Post saw this and couldn't allow Canada to suck up all the lack of journalistic integrity. WaPo reporters started emailing victims of the illegal hack wondering why they would donate such an incredible sum of $40 to these Chanucklehead insuurectionisters.
The Washington Post is contacting people whose donation info was leaked and who gave as little as 40 dollars to the truckers to ask them why they did so

"Your name and email address are associated with a $40 contribution. Could you please tell me if this matches your records, and either call or reply to this email to share what motivated you to contribute to the campaign?"
I would reply with a .gif.
WaPo also, out of the blue, changed its vocabulary from saying "hacked," which is sleazy, to "leaked" which is more in line with journalisming.
.@byaaroncdavis You first called that data leaked. Now you're referring to it as hacked. Which is it? pic.twitter.com/aN7UU9Pf1U

I'm starting to run out of words. Our media is the institution whose one job is to hold the government accountable. Yet, when the people speak out against the government, the media always sells out the people and sides with the government. Or at least they do depending on the political opinions of the protesters. Tens of millions of dollars going unaccounted for to the BLM political organization is of no interest. The Minnesota Freedom Fund that was promoted by Vice President Kamala Harris being exposed as fraud gets a shrug. But a random citizen donating $40 so a trucker can afford gas while that trucker fights for his family's freedom, THAT is what the Washington Post thinks is offensive.
