The animated lard bags at the UN have been up to quite a bit of nonsense lately (see NOT SATIRE: UN Appoints Saudi Arabia to Special Committee... For Women's Rights?!). Their latest booboo took place while documenting the story of a girl from Gaza who fell victim to Israel's mean ways. Because of Israeli actions, she hasn't been able to live a normal life. The only problem? There's no such girl. They flat out lied...

UN Watch today demanded that UNRWA chief Pierre Krahenbuhl apologize for using images of a girl in a bombed-out Syria building in a major global campaign to raise money for the organization by pretending the girl is a Gaza victim of Israeli actions.

UNRWA is now running the photo on Facebook and Twitter ads. It is also now UNRWA's cover image.

[It reads:] Imagine being cut off from the world - for your whole life. That's reality for children like Aya. The blockade of Gaza began when she was a baby, the occupation in the West Bank before her parents were born. Now she is eleven, and the blockage goes on...

Yet neither the girl nor the bombed-out building are in Gaza; it's an old photo from Syria, dating apparently to 2014.

The UN group couldn't even be bothered to remove the old image from their social media. Oopsie.

The photo also appeared on other UNRWA Syria pages, and an UNRWA report in which the caption reads: A young girl stands in the rubble of Qabr Essit, near Damascus. In 2014, UNRWA was able to begin rebuilding facilities within the neighbourhood, including a school and community centre ...

This isn't the first time a group has faked what's going on in the Middle Eastern region of the world (see BUSTED: Five Egyptians Caught Using Children to Stage Fake Footage of 'Aleppo'...). It seems the truth tends to get lost in the rubble over there.

If you had any doubts as to the United Nation's anti-Israel bias, wonder no more. While the UN kowtows to countries like Saudi Arabia, it's out to tar and feather Israel every chance it gets (read UN Ambassador Nikki Haley Puts UN's Anti-Israel Bias on Notice). Even when doing so requires a truckload of lying lies.

Reminder: Israel is the freedom-espousing democracy in the Middle East. So obviously groups like the UN who hate freedom but love nations which oppress its citizens, would hate on Israel. Should tell you something about the UN.

Not that we're surprised. The UN has not one shred of credibility left...
