Ukrainian President Says There Was NO BLACKMAIL in Trump Call
Sucks to be Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy these days. Take one phone call with Donald Trump, and you can't so much as go to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new Jamba Juice in Kiev without questions. Impeachmenty questions (see WATCH: People Say “Yes, Impeach Trump,” But Can’t Give an Actual Reason Why and WATCH: The Media has been Pushing Trump’s Impeachment Since 2016).
At the center of the im🍑ment drama is whether or not Trump blackmailed a world leader. This response from said world leader will probably make Speaker Pelosi schiff in her adult diapers.
"This has nothing to do with weapons and the Burisma situation," Zelenskiy said when asked about accusations that Trump had pressured him to investigate Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, and his role on the board of the energy company Burisma Holdings."There was no blackmail; it was not the subject of our conversation," he added. "The call could have no impact on our relations with America."
Could Zelenskiy only be saying this because Trump has naked pictures of his mother? I guess. I'm sure an anonymous source who heard from someone who heard from someone else will leak it to The Washington Post by the end of the day. That's how most of the impeachment news is distributed anyway. Prove me wrong.
But as far as on-the-record facts go, having the alleged blackmailee say he was never blackmailed doesn't help your case. Let's be honest, though: facts about this case aren't so much relevant as they are swept under the narrative rug.
