UFC's Tim Kennedy on Waterboarding: Not Real Torture
Torture and waterboarding are back in the news. Thank Donald Trump's nominee to head the CIA. Actually, thank the liberal Senators using it as an excuse to perform for the cameras (see Former CIA Analyst Destroys Selective Amnesia of US Senators and VIDEO: Gina Haspel Embarrasses Dianne Feinstein with Fact-Check). All this waterboarding water cooler talk led to Army Ranger, UFC vet, and friend to the show Tim Kennedy to get waterboarded over the weekend.
He had his reasons, which he shared with TMZ.
It's uncomfortable. It doesn’t feel good. It's not like, 'Let's go get a spa treatment.' A little face massage. It's an uncomfortable thing. But, it's a very effective thing.
I have seen torture firsthand. I have found people with no fingers. I've seen people with their breasts cut off. I've seen their eyelids slit open so they could watch their own family being murdered. That's torture. This is water being poured on your face.
Torture is the first sixty seconds of Wu Tang Clan's "Method Man." Not that I ever want to be waterboarded myself. I'll take your word for it that it sucks. But if it gets us vital information about people looking to do us harm, get the hose.
