We've all been there. You're in line waiting to get a sub at your favorite neighborhood sandwich shop (which may have once been represented by a child sex predator), when you're suddenly overcome with the urge to shove a sharp object into someone else. It's a tale as old as time. Sadly, police walking the beat who witness your stabbolicious skirmish, take it upon themselves to sling lead projectiles in your direction. The brutes.

The video above is from CBS channel Five. Because they shared their story on YouTube. Because here's the kicker, some people in San Francisco are upset that two stabbers got shot up by the Po-Po.

ABC7 News asked Scott if there was any way officers could have avoided the shooting. Scott replied by saying: "Everything right now is under investigation and it's very preliminary."

Nearby residents, like Sharie Pittman were outraged by the shooting. "So, we have a fight, we fixing to get shot? I fight all the time," she said.

Okay, let's talk about this. If you're resolving differences with knife play, you're a danger to yourself, society, and your unsuspecting upholstery. Whose only crime was being in your abode when you decided to get your stabbing game on. Y tu Brute?

But more seriously, let's tie this sandwich stabbing incident to Baltimore's skyrocketing crime rates (Cop-Hating Baltimore is Overrun with Murder. So They Called the FBI and Congratulations, Baltimore: Deadliest Year EVER). Let's tie the incident to fewer police on the streets than last year. Tie it to the problem of finding new recruits. Situations like this, where police intervene WHEN NEEDED and yet citizen dinguses complain about police intervening WHEN NEEDED is why people are afraid to become police officers. It's also why the country is divided between "back the blue" and "F*CK THE POE-LEESE!!"

I don't know why.

If the people who've already made up their minds regarding police brutality don't even provide a little leeway... for a live to-the-death stabbing, they simply won't be "happy" until we live in an anarchist state. After which point they'll complain about not being safe and call in the FBI.

This is why we do not compromise with psychopaths. It's why we don't have sit downs wherein we all share our feelings. Stupid, dangerous ideas of "stop the police from doing their jobs because my feelings" need to be defeated. Not "accommodated."
