Desperate Much? TV Guide Compares Trump to... Batman Villain?!
Having exhausted all reasonable arguments, leftists in the media have gone full retard with their critiques of Donald Trump. To hilarious effect. TV Guide, which is still a thing apparently, is comparing President Trump's inauguration speech to everyone's favorite cue-ball, mask-wearing, Sean-Connery-sounding super villain, Bane.
In the 2012 Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, the villain Bane, played by Tom Hardy, leads an uprising against the entrenched powers that be in Gotham City. He installs himself as the city's leader and expropriates the property of the wealthy. He says: "We take Gotham from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you... the people. Gotham is yours."In his inaugural address on Friday, President Donald Trump said that his presidency is a victory for the American people over the entrenched powers that be in Washington. At one point he said, "We are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people."
Let's get nerdy for a moment. If you remember, in The Dark Knight Rises, Bane was all about jacking rich folks' stuff and giving it to everybody else. Occupy Wall Street style. That's not all that Trumpish. Actually, if we're talking Bane-like politicians, a crazy, wild-haired old man comes to mind. No, not Doc Brown from Back to the Future but I like where your head is. No, I'm talking about Bernie "Make it all free" Sanders. Nobody is more interested in trashing the rich than Bernie.
Best to get used to the chuckles. You have four more years of leftist comedy gold ahead of you, as progressives in the media try using this caliber of rhetoric to discredit Trump.
Don't believe me? There's already a Bane/Trump mixed tape.
Here's a question for the leftists who think making Trump into a Batman villain is funny: If Bane is so horrible, why did you support someone who mirrored his policies? Like Hillary and aforementioned Sanders?
Get back to me on that whenever the answer smacks you in the face. I'll be waiting. And laughing at you for things like this, a leftist screaming bloody murder.
Speaking of the media...
