Politics 2016: Fallon Messes Up Trump’s Hair on Tonight Show
Donald Trump's appearance with Jimmy Fallon last night is a prime example of why he's so popular with his voters. While Republicans argue about how Trump's not conservative, and there is no issue he hasn't been on every side of at least three times? The rest of America sees this...
America sees the fun Donald Trump who goes on The Tonight Show, jokes, and let's the host mess up his hair for a laugh. They see the someone not controlled by handlers, who talks and laughs like them.
2016. Here we are...
The pop culture appearances, selling a candidacy based on "likability" renders our arguments about policy moot. Should it? Personally I don't think so. But we're in a time where it seems too many voters care more about personality than anything else. Americans seem to put more emphasis on style of delivery rather than what's being delivered (it was the same in 2008). Which is still bad news for Madam Cankles. She couldn't deliver chocolate chip cookies without scaring all the neighborhood children.
Compare Trump's style to when Grandma Hatchet does it (see Robotic Hillary Clinton Tries to be Human on The Ellen Show and HILARIOUS: Hillary Panders (Again) for Black Vote. Fails Miserably…). As you read those two links keep this in mind...Hillary Clinton is going on a Pander to Millennials tour next week.
You can count on LwC team coverage mocking that tour unmercifully. We're practically peeing our pantsuits in anticipation. But while we wait, here's a spot-on Trump impersonation, sans hair-mess-uppery.
