Vanity Fair Apologizes to Hillary Over Comedic Video, Trump Calls Out Their Pathetic Pandering
Let's admit it, Trump posts a little too much on Twitter. But this time, he tweeted a truth nugget that made us giggle like Hillary at the sight of her favorite Satanic ritual (see Trump Tweets Hilarious Video. CNN Cries “Help, We’re Under Attack!” and Tucker Carlson Shuts Down Liberal Journalist: ‘Name ONE Interesting Thing Hillary Ever Said…’). After Vanity Fair released a video dissing Hillary, they took every last juicy second of it back at the slightest hint of displeasure.
Here's the video:
In a statement on Wednesday, Vanity Fair said of the video, "It was an attempt at humor and we regret that it missed the mark."
No, you made the mark. Shot through the mark. Completely obliterated the mark in fiery plumes. Then you took it all back. This is why we can't have nice things.
But Trump, never missing an opportunity to insert himself into the mix, offered this:
Firstly, to every Trump hater going "Nuh uh, Anna Wintour is Vogue's editor" we have some bad news. While she is best known for her work (or lack thereof) on Vogue, Anna Wintour is the artistic director of the company which owns both Vanity Fair and Vogue: Conde Nast. Meaning Trump is right. And knows more about fashion than Hillary ever will.
Secondly, while not keen on Trump inserting himself into what a private company does or does not do, he's right that media is both intimidated of Hillary, and biased in her favor. Vanity Fair's video dissed Hillary, it was hardly hateful or even all that mean. Yet at the slightest hint of displeasure from leftist circles, Vanity Fair retreated with their over-priced Vera Wang adorned tails between their pleather leggings. Imagine if Vanity Fair had made a video dissing Ted Cruz. Would they apologize if the Cruz Crew threw a tantrum?
That's the point.
