Trump Puts the Palestinians on Notice: Say Goodbye to $100 Million
For years, America and other nations, in attempts to appease the Palestinians, have bent themselves into positions borderline obscene. All for the sake of Middle Eastern peace. A concept more elusive than a yodeling unicorn who files its tax return on January second. So far, our efforts haven't been worth a bucket of cold shawarma. Maybe Trump's "no f*cks to give" approach will finally make a dent (see Trump Admin Pushes Bill to Cut ALL Funds to Palestine and WIN: Trump Slams ‘Hateful’ Palestine While Discussing Israel’s Future with Netanyahu…).
Or at least provide some basic entertainment.
Trump and Netanyahu spoke to the press today in Davos. Instead of mealy-mouthed rhetoric using words emptier than the mind of a woman majoring in feminist dance theory, the president spoke in a language everyone understands: dolla' dolla' bills.
When they disrespected us a week ago by not allowing our great Vice President to see them, and we give them hundreds of millions of dollars in aid and support... that money's not going to them unless they sit down and negotiate peace.
Shorter Trump:
If you, the person reading this story, is confused about why America keeps funneling tax dollars to countries that hate us, you're not alone. Heck, you don't even need a doctorate in global affairs to realize shoveling fat stacks of American cash to our enemies makes as much sense as Amy Schumer playing Barbie. Yet America is bribing our enemies with our own money.
Yeah, it's stupid.
Traditionally when one gives money to someone else, they're expecting something in return. Something positive. Not to be confused with threats of global thermal nuclear war. It is, after all, an exchange. Up until Trump, America has been like the abused spouse, placating the abuser with cash. "PLEASE LIKE ME! Here's some money, don't hit me!" Actually, this is less like an abused spouse, more like a kid being bullied in the school yard for lunch money. Since when did America become the skinny kid with an inhaler, being shoved in a locker by everyone else?
That appears to be changing with Trump. Maybe we're seeing a new day, where America will stop giving money to the world's bullies.
