In light of what happened in Ft. Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale Airport Shooter Caught After Killing 5. What We Know So Far...), leftists were probably hoping to spur another gun control push. Donald Trump Jr., however, opted to relieve himself in their Corn Flakes instead. As per the Washington Post, he supports gun "silencers".

The federal government has strictly limited the sale of firearm silencers for as long as James Bond and big-screen gangsters have used them to discreetly shoot enemies between the eyes.

Now the gun industry, which for decades has complained about the restrictions, is pursuing new legislation to make silencers easier to buy, and a key backer is Donald Trump Jr., an avid hunter and the oldest son of the president-elect, who campaigned as a friend of the gun industry.

The legislation stalled in Congress last year. But with Republicans in charge of the House and Senate and the elder Trump moving into the White House, gun rights advocates are excited about its prospects this year.

I wholeheartedly support this. "But why?!" asked the stupid person. Allow me to explain below. But first... let's see the liberal CTRL+ALT+OUTRAGE!!

As to why I support this? Here are a few points for the uninformed.

• Firstly, to those keyboard warriors  demanding I call it a "suppressor", stop being an elitist douche. The first one ever invented was called a silencer, not suppressor. Both terms are acceptable.

Firearm suppressors, colloquially and inaccurately known as "silencers", are basic safety equipment when operating a firearm, as their use prevents both hearing damage and reduces the noise pollution of firing ranges. Due to a little-known section of Federal law called the National Firearms Act, their possession has been all but criminalized.

(This article refers to these devices by the correct "suppressors" instead of the more colloquial and inaccurate "silencers", as they do no such thing.)

Suppressors have the benefit of both decreasing the likelihood of hearing loss and decreasing noise pollution from hunting and shooting ranges. In the UK, Europe, and Scandinavia, they recognize the health and environmental benefits of suppressors, so they are sold over the counter without much regulation at all.

Even liberals know that the banning of suppressors had nothing to do with crime, and everything to do with poaching during the Great Depression. Yeah, but that was then. Now, ignorant gun control posts are great for leftist click bait.
