Donald Trump Takes a Stand for Free Speech, Against Censorship
With lefties curb-stomping Alex Jones and other conservatives off their platforms, the subject of free speech is a hot topic. Leftists claim to be all in favor of the First Amendment, provided the speech in question lines up with lefty orthodoxy. Speech that involves smallifying the government, not so much.
Enter the Donald to spell out how the free utterance of syllables works:
President Donald Trump took aim at social media platforms early Saturday morning, criticizing them for suppressing and even attempting to silence conservative voices.
“They are closing down the opinions of many people on the Right …” he complained in a tweet.
The president continued by claiming that censorship is “a very dangerous thing & absolutely impossible to police,” pointing out the fact that although he has often complained about “Fake News,” he has never moved to silence his critics.
He concluded with a call for free speech, saying, “Let everybody participate, good & bad, and we will all just have to figure it out!”
Now this is the Trump I like!
Notice how Trump preemptively shut down leftists who will say, "b-b-but you call us FAKE NEWS?!" Yeah, Trump and every other person with two brain cells to rub together. There's a big difference though. Calling out fake newsery doesn't equal a ban on the press. The same way yelling "CNN sucks" doesn't equal attempted assault.
Right now lefty douchinators are doing everything short of putting Wite-Out over the First Amendment to crack down on speech that is free. The ability to say what you want does not bode well for leftists who want an America full of puppets. With the Democrats pulling the strings.
Thankfully, we've got a tangerine-hued friend in the Oval Office who gets it. At least when it comes to free expression.
While we're on the subject:
