Trump Fires Back Over Clinton and Obama Uranium Deal
Another day, another Trump-Russia conspiracy (see BUSTED: CNN Producer Admits Trump Russia Coverage is "Bullshi*t!"). Today, though, President Donald Trump slammed the media over blatantly ignoring a certain Russian deal between the Obama admin and Putin. New details are beginning to bubble to the surface, but we've yet to hear any screeching from MSNBC or CNN. How convenient for them.
President Trump on Thursday accused the “Fake Media” of ignoring new details about the 2010 approval of a controversial uranium deal with a Russian company, amid scrutiny of potential “conflicts of interest” for Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration.
Uranium deal to Russia, with Clinton help and Obama Administration knowledge, is the biggest story that Fake Media doesn't want to follow!— Donald J. Trump (@Donald J. Trump)1508411872.0
A day earlier, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, vowed at a public hearing to “get to the bottom of this issue.” This was as The Hill reported that the FBI had evidence as early as 2009 that Russian operatives used bribes, kickbacks and other dirty tactics to expand Moscow’s atomic energy footprint in the U.S. -- yet the Obama administration approved the uranium deal benefiting Moscow anyway.
But it gets worse. The FBI was working with an informant who uncovered this truckload of Russian corruption. Apparently that informant is not allowed to speak on any of the information he learned, courtesy of a fat nondisclosure agreement and looming threats from Justice officials. Interesting.
It's all a little unsettling. And Trump is right, for people so obsessed with everything MOTHER RUSSIA™, the left has been awfully mum on this subject. I mean, come on, Fearless Girl gets a story every time the wind shifts (read Fake News: CNN Reports 'Fearless Girl' and a Bull Have Snow On Them). But this cozying up to Putin over uranium is tossed aside in favor of bogus reports (see THUG LIFE: Donald Trump Body Slams BuzzFeed, CNN For Fake Russian 'Report').
There's a media bias here, and it's a heavy one. Heavier even than the leathery bags sagging beneath Hillary's eyeholes.
