Remember when comedy used to be funny and NOT the main source of news for leftists? According to
The Daily Show's
Trevor Noah, that's a good thing.
Stay woke, bruh.
Ok, so edgy comedy is bad. Comedy that pushes a political agenda and only appeals to half your audience while insulting the other half is good? I'm getting some clarity on why Trevor Noah is so painfully unfunny. He's not even trying to be funny.
Leftists believing their martyrs to comedy by poking fun at Trump, and the audience not finding it as hilarious or as "edgy" as they do means they haven't learned how they got
in the first place. Nor are they aware to just how out of touch they are with the rest of America. Even moderate Democrats are tired of their "wokeness," and just want to be entertained when they turn on entertainment. Crazy.
A funny joke is just that, regardless of its subject. But the left has recently engaged in political mockery where funny doesn't even enter the equation. What part of Kathy Griffin holding up a decapitated Trump head made people LOL? It was as funny as flesh eating bacteria.
Comedians are free to make fun of whomever they'd like. But if it's not "fun" then the audience will throw tomatoes in reaction. Comedy is supposed to be funny
Whatever comes second doesn't always matter if the joke is funny first. But recently, comedians have lost touch with the funny, focusing on agendas first. And therein lies the problem.
