Early this morning, Melania Trump had to undergo emergency surgery on her kidney. A pretty serious thing. You'd think the petty politics would be set aside. At least until she was back up on her feet.

Nope!

True to form, the left flooded the Twittersphere with their trademark "sympathy and understanding." Here's a sample of what they were saying:

"Yeah, I hope you get well so your marriage can hopefully go swirling down the toilet." Call me stupid, but I'm having trouble trying to figure out what the Trump's marriage has to do with the wellbeing of Melania's urine-producing organs.

The genuine sympathy here is enough to bring a tear to your eye. Sarcasm aside, something tells me this guy could care less about Melania. As if the shot in the direction of her husband wasn't indication enough.

Uh, there's a pretty big difference between a legal immigrant and a freeloading jumper of fences. Again, I'm failing to see the relevance of immigration reform in this situation. Though, I'm not surprised. This is hardly the first instance of a leftist piggybacking their politics into a discussion.

Well, so much for the "compassionate" left. Take note, single ladies. If you marry a guy with an "R" after his name, you risk losing the sympathy of progressives.

Melania can consider those people all she wants. There's just one problem. She's not an elected official, and she holds zero sway over American healthcare policy.

Typical of leftists, they can't wish someone well without making smug, passive-aggressive remarks. They're the only people around who can politicize kidney surgery with a straight face. You know, never let an opportunity to diss the Donald while pushing for open borders and single-payer go to waste. No matter how inappropriate.
