The question of the day. With the whole Russia witch-hunt, and now President Trump wanting to investigate the FBI, more Americans have less faith in our institutions than ever. But can that be a good thing?
Because our institutions have gotten a lot wrong.
Let’s be real. There’s also a lot of conspiracies into out institutions as well. Led by a guy who claims Ted Cruz’s father was responsible for JFK’s assassination. Especially after he read it in a very fine publication like the National Enquirer. It’s hard to get a sense of who exactly is telling the truth when everyone can sound like they’re lying.
But a little distrust in the government is a good thing. Especially when it’s given us plenty of reasons to distrust it. Read also FBI Spying on Trump Campaign is Yet Another Reason to Distrust Government, and Dear Liberals: Your Cult-like Faith in Government is Disturbing.
