Cab drivers do not like Uber drivers, in the same way human emotions do not like Hillary Clinton.

Some of the responses on Reddit show how most people are increasingly feeling less and less sympathy for the "plight" of cab drivers:

And they wonder why they are getting fewer customers.

The kind of people who are a full time taxi driver are not the same kind of people who are part time Uber drivers. Case and point: The taxi driver in the video and the Uber guy in the video. Who would you prefer to be driving you?

So really, the Taxi profession is fading out like the ice and milkmen profession did before the refrigerator was a common household product. So really Taxi drivers getting mad at ride share drivers is like a milkman getting mad at a refrigerator every time he/she sees one.

If you offered great service Uber would have showed up and died relatively quickly. Where I live I cannot tell you how many times I called a taxi, they told me it would be there 30-45 minutes, and when it didn't show the operator gave the shitty excuses "they were there and waited for 15 minutes and you didn't show up." Uber is the complete opposite, request a ride and it will show up w/in 5 and it is cheap.

By the way, liberals like Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders oppose Uber, and side with cab drivers over Uber drivers. Uber helps the American middle class to a disproportionate level. It gives them better buying power, it keeps them safer, and it provides people in many cities with inefficient Taxi-services a way to get around. It's also green! You'd think this would be a gimme for the left. Yet their opposition to ride-sharing is froth-at-the-mouth anger. If only they hated ISIS with the same vigor.

This would be a good time to note that Unions (particularly public sector unions) give more political contributions than BigOil, Pharma and Koch brothers combined. Exclusively to Democrats mind you.

So when we refer to Unions as "thugs"... believe me, we mean thugs. And when we say that Democrats are directly opposed to the American working class, instead choosing to side with thugs... believe me, that's exactly what we mean.

But, what difference, at this point, does it make?
