CPAC is a treasure trove of great speakers. Earlier today we were graced with a speech from Dana Loesch (see Dana Loesch at CPAC 2018 Scorches Media for Loving School Shootings). This afternoon the CPAC gods saw it fit to bless us with Ted Cruz. You can watch his full speech below. For those of you without 20 minutes to spare, feel free to skip on down to the highlights.
Want to stop shootings? Go after the criminals.

This may seem like a “duh” statement, but it bears repeating considering stories like this:
- FBI Received a Credible Tip about Florida Shooter. Did Nothing.
- Pentagon Knew of Lapse in Military Crime Reporting. Did Nothing…
- Officials Knew OSU Attacker Was Possible Terrorist. Granted Citizenship Anyway.
- Report: Police Called to Parkland Shooter’s Home 39 Times
Cruz talks about what young people really want.

This is stunningly accurate for a man close to 50. We call this trick pairing common sense with listening to the desires of young, productive sprouts. Democrats, take notes. Not every twenty-something wants a side of socialism to go with their avocado toast.
A quick b*tch slap for CNN.
Ted Cruz, on Chris Cuomo saying Cruz was too afraid to come on CNN: "I am quite certain in the history of the universe, nobody has ever been afraid of Chris Cuomo." https://t.co/dyvMCdvul1

Between the talk of meaningful safety measures and the future of conservatism, Ted managed to smack around Chris Cuomo’s heavily powdered face. We can all learn a lesson from Cruz here: always make time for the important things in life. Mainly mocking media milquetoasts.
…And Hillary too.
Ted Cruz says Bill Clinton's critique of Obamacare was "about the only time I ever agreed with Bill Clinton. Well, other than about Hillary."
CPAC crowd laughs and applauds.

Here’s looking forward to other wondrous goodies CPAC has to offer next. For now, a flashback:
