The Man Who Zoomed Court With A Suspended License? The clerical error isn't the crazy part...
As far as plot twist goes, this one is heading towards the Guinness record for the most amount of twisted plots.
We all laughed when we witnessed a man calling into Zoom court while driving for a hearing about a suspended license. But then the headlines started popping up about how bureaucratic incompetence was actually to blame, as his license was supposed to be reinstated two years ago but court staff made a mistake.
And although we gave him the benefit of the doubt, the public was left with more questions than answers.
You have to wonder, how did he not know about the “clerical error” when he went to renew his license? Or what about when he renewed his registration?
None of that matters because the plot just took another turn for the worse. After all that mess, it turns out he NEVER HAD A LICENSE. So the man is not only a liar, but a lazy, attention-seeking baby who points the finger at everyone else when he is literally the reason people have trust issues.

According to The Post Millennial:
The 44-year-old Michigan man who went viral for appearing in court via Zoom from behind the wheel of his car never actually held a valid driver's license. After Corey Harris was busted for allegedly driving with a suspended license, it was discovered that the suspension had been lifted in 2022, but that it was never recorded due to a clerical error and lack of payment on his part.
So even if he had a license, the whole “clerical thing” was still a lie because he never paid the fees. So there was actually no error on the staff's part and this man cannot take responsibility for his life. Wow.
On Wednesday, Harris appeared in court again, where Washtenaw County Judge J. Cedric Simspon revealed that there had never been a license to suspend. Under state law, residents can receive a suspension on their driving record regardless of whether they have a license.
According to WXYZ, Simpson pointed out that Michiganders are only allowed to have either a driver's license or state ID, and that records showed Harris renewed the latter every year.
"Let me make it very clear, based on what the court looked at," the judge said. "[Harris] has never had a Michigan license, ever, and he has never had a license in the other 49 states and commonwealths that form up this great union. He has never had a license."
How dumb does he think people are? The courts can look these things up with literally a click of a button. That’s how easy these systems are, and he really thought he could outsmart that. Wow. Just wow.
Technically, his nonexistent license was suspended, as allowed by state law. However, that suspension was revoked and all he had to do was pay a fine. And all that happened because he didn't pay his child support.
And how you get to his age without having a driver's license is beyond my understanding.
The judge obviously asked him what we are all thinking, why did he call all this “hoopla?????”
I would also like to know where he found the NERVE to go on a media tour after the mess HE STARTED?!?!?!?
This is something we may never know. However, he has since announced that he’s working on getting his driver's license. LOL.
