You know the criticism about closing Gitmo and how it'll just send terrorists back out to kill other Americans? And how that's a reason for keeping it open, to keep the terrorists locked up? Turns out the White House agrees...that the terrorists leave Gitmo just to kill Americans again. They just don't think it's a big deal.

These words were actually said, out loud, with his mouth, for everyone to hear.

Paul Lewis — a senior Obama administration official — testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee that prisoners released from Guantanamo Bay have killed Americans.

“What I can tell you is unfortunately there have been Americans that have died because of detainees,” Lewis explained. “When anybody dies it is a tragedy. We don’t want anybody to die because we transfer detainees.”

Lewis further stated that it is “the best judgment and the considered judgment of this administration and the previous administration that the risks of keeping Gitmo open” far outweigh the positives of shutting it down.

I see. So, while you admit that when you release the prisoners they just go back to the battlefield and KILL OTHER AMERICANS, that's totes kewl because keeping Gitmo open would be worse?

Because, it sounds like that's what you think.

Remember, these are the same leftists who think we should totally enact strict gun control, even if it restricts people's Second Amendment rights, on the off chance even one life might be saved. Let's recap. Obama doesn't want to say "Islamic terrorists." He doesn't really think it's a big deal and even said ISIS was contained right before they hit Paris. Fantastic. Now the Obama admin is taking it two explosive steps down the land-mined path and are attempting to close Guantanamo Bay, despite KNOWING released prisoners/detainees/terrorists will kill Americans.

Also, remember, these are the same people who promised you could keep your doctor and your healthcare plan. Same administration that wants more taxes to prevent "climate change." Same government who wanted Apple to hack the San Bernardino killer's iPhone. After they screwed it up.

Sleep tight, America. Just keep that gun close. Because you know, a loose terrorist your government knew might kill you...
