To imply that a love for reading and writing is a white supremacist characteristic is one of the most racist things I have heard in a very long time. That is because it simply implies that black people cannot read or write and would therefore not enjoy it. But everyone reading this knows that it could not be further from the truth. But now we have a school in Seattle telling English students that they are racist if they enjoy a book from time to time.

Students in a Seattle English class were told that their love of reading and writing is a characteristic of “white supremacy,” in the latest Seattle Public Schools high school controversy. The lesson plan has one local father speaking out, calling it “educational malpractice.”

As part of the Black Lives Matter at School Week, World Literature and Composition students at Lincoln High School were given a handout with definitions of the “9 characteristics of white supremacy,” according to the father of a student. Given the subject matter of the class, the father found it odd this particular lesson was brought up.

The Seattle high schoolers were told that “Worship of the Written Word” is white supremacy because it is “an erasure of the wide range of ways we communicate with each other.” By this definition, the very subject of World Literature and Composition is racist. It also chides the idea that we hyper-value written communication because it’s a form of “honoring only what is written and even then only what is written to a narrow standard, full of misinformation and lies.” The worksheet does not provide any context for what it actually means.

Oh my goodness. That is incredibly infuriating.

First of all, claiming that reading is bad because it erases “the wide range of ways we communicate with each other” makes absolutely no sense. If it’s one of the ways we communicate, then it’s one of the ways we communicate. By destroying that, it is literally “erasing” one of the ways we communicate.

Secondly, it is not a form of “honoring only what is written.” You can respect verbal communication while also respecting written communication. I don’t even understand what she is trying to say. It makes absolutely no sense. The teacher literally gave them a worksheet which they were told to read and write on. I thought that was racist?!?!??! Even the teacher does not understand what she means.

She needs to be fired. This is so infuriating. And she is an English teacher. How pathetic. She clearly is a lazy degenerate who just does not want to teach. That is more than pathetic. That is evil. She is intentionally setting her students up for failure if they believe this crap all because she is mentally incompetent and stupid.

It should be illegal for people this asinine to be around minors, let alone teach. When you are that dumb there is no way you can be trusted with the safety of minors.

The worksheet labels “objectivity,” “individualism,” and “perfectionism” as white supremacy. If students deny their own racism — or that any of the nine characteristics are legitimately racist — is also white supremacy. Denialism or being overly defensive is a racist example of an “entitlement to name what is an [sic] isn’t racism and that those with power have a right to be shielded from the stresses of antiracist work.”

I can’t even handle any more of that. She clearly hates her students. That is the only reason she is "teaching" something so abhorrent.

Not only that, her entire lack of logic focuses on no evidence and in the same breath says that by denying her foolish statements, that makes you the racist.

Even her attempt to gaslight her students is pathetic. It’s painfully obvious to any idiot that if you have to try and gaslight your students to back up what you are saying, you are obviously in the wrong.

This teacher must be fired and permanently banned from being around students. She has no business working as an “educator” or even being near a learning facility. All of this is insane.
