Ted Nugent and Stephen A. Smith are favorites here at LwC (see Ana Navarro Can’t Stop Whining About Palin, Nugent, Kid Rock Trolling Hillary Clinton and Stephen A. Smith Drop Kicks White Liberal Complaining About Jim Brown’s Trump Meeting). You wouldn’t assume they agree on much, but they do agree on this one aspect of the illegal immigration debate…
SMITH: No one should have a problem with ‘illegal immigration’ getting addressed. The issue is that a lot of times, when we hear from folks, in their rhetoric, they don’t emphasize the word ‘illegal,’ they just say ‘immigration.’ It gives the impression that there are those that are not welcomed, and that’s never good for America, to disseminate that kind of message.
NUGENT: Let’s emphasize that whenever the Left or most of the media, which is the same thing, and the Democrats talk about immigration, they always claim that we’re against immigration, they cannot differentiate between legal activities and illegal activities… so thank you for that.
It’s that simple. Just admit there’s a different between LEGAL immigration and ILLEGAL immigration, and all of a sudden the tone changes. Cats and dogs are playing together. People are discussing actual solutions to the ILLEGAL immigration problem. I’ve stressed this nearly every time I address immigration on the program. My mother is an immigrant. She didn’t speak a word of English until her adult life. But she learned the language, immigrated here legally and is now a tax-payer in the asset column. Meaning that she’s a contributor, not a succubus. And you know what? I think all Americans would do well to follow her example. We WANT those kinds of legal immigrants here, right?
We just need more people calling out the left other than the usual suspects.
