Here comes yet another report which makes a strong case for walling it up on our southern border. Illegal hombres are upping their attacks on Border Patrol, and the numbers don’t look good.

According to U.S. Border Patrol data, FY 2017 saw a remarkable 678 assaults against agents compared to 403 the previous year, a 68 percent increase.

So the numbers are pretty damning, but it’s not all bad. Behold, silver lining:

Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, said one explanation for the dramatic spikes in attacks is that agents are effectively doing their job ... With illegal crossings at the lowest levels in years, Judd says there is a sense of desperation, especially among criminal border crossers, to make it across and they are becoming more violent when they are apprehended.

"When we make it more difficult to cross," assaults go up," Judd said. "This should be a barometer for the general public to see these are more violent and dangerous people attempting to enter the country."

So this all may be a symptom of Border Patrol doing something right. About time. But it still goes to the point that these spicy muchachos should stay down south with their abuelos. Where they can't attack the federal agents or Kate Steinles of America (see Illegal Immigrant Found 'Not Guilty' in Kate Steinle's Murder to Be Deported). Sounds simple enough.

So simple, yet certain dunces of leftist persuasion still can't wrap their heads around it...
