South Park’s Matt Stone And Trey Parker Shock Hollywood: "We're Republicans"
Well here's something highly irregular. It's obvious the South Park creators dislike liberals (see ‘South Park’ Skewers Constant Liberal Social Media Outrage and Even ‘South Park’ Creator Says Donald Trump Jokes Are Boring). There was also a lame book back in the day called South Park Conservatives. You are free to punch me in the face the next time you see me for referring to the 90s as "back in the day." But neither Matt Stone and Trey Parker have ever "come out" to say anything definitive.
Until, apparently, a few nights ago.
Trey Parker & Matt Stone of @SouthPark asked me to introduce them when they received a "freedom" award from Norman… https://t.co/KACgyW4Ren— Larry Elder (@Larry Elder) 1521857887.0
This could very well be trolling. Norman Lear is famously NOT a Republican. It would be safe to assume most of the audience's hearts would be bleeding all over their soy veggie stir-fry. Stone and Parker saying something to make them spit out their Cabernet would be totally on brand for them to do. Maybe it's all part of a prank. Their way to get invited to the White House. And drop a dookie in the president's tanning bed. You never know with these two.
Regardless, we're happy to take any allies in the entertainment industry we can get.
