The Supreme Court of the United States has been in the news lately as the entire country waits with bated breath for the release of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision which, according to a leaked majority opinion, will overturn Roe v. Wade. The conservative justices on the court have traditionally been the targets of the left. Clarence Thomas experienced calls for his impeachment, liberals wanted Amy Barrett arrested, and an assassin targeted Brett Kavanaugh.

It's not a good time to be a justice, so Justice Sotomayor may soon regret complimenting one of the left's least favorite justices, Clarence Thomas.

The Hill reports that while speaking at the American Constitution Society, Justice Sonia Sotomayor "spoke highly of colleague Justice Clarence Thomas," heaping praise on the arguably most conservative member of the high court. "He is a man who cares deeply about the court as an institution," she said.

She continued, "We shave a common understanding about people and kindness towards them," adding that "Justice Thomas is the one justice in the building that literally knows every employee's name, every one of them. And not only does he know their names, he remembers their families' names and histories."

Well, Justice Thomas sounds like a great man, and we know he's a great justice. But he's a conservative and so must be targeted with nothing but scorn, vitriol, and threats. Sotomayor painted a target on her back when she dared to whisper a single kind word about Thomas, and the left is already taking aim.

Justice Sotomayor said a nice thing about Justice Thomas, so she's unfit for the court, a snake, and has no morals, values, or principles.

Now, I don't think Sotomayor is fit for the court because of her numerous stupid statements and decisions. She's also a rabid and ignorant leftist, so she doesn't have anything I would call morals, values, or principles. But I've held these views forever. I also didn't adopt them because she said something nice about someone. I find it entertaining how quickly the left will disown and condemn one of their own--one who has pushed radical leftism for ages--just as soon as she barely crosses them. The left eating their own is hilarious and will never stop being hilarious.

I'll commend Sotomayor for her comments. She chose not to slander her coworker and friend, even knowing--and she certainly knew--she would be attacked if she chose not to. Good for her. She's still a terrible justice, but she's not an awful person. At least not entirely.
