SNL/Donald Glover Uses "A Kanye Place" To Mock Our Kanye West Obsession
The left is losing their minds over "This is America." It's a new song by Childish Gambino, aka actor Donald Glover. A catchy song, sure, but nothing you haven't read on Vox after losing a bet. The more entertaining thing Donald Glover did this weekend was A Kanye Place. SNL mocked America's obsession with all things Kanye (see Rapper T.I. Comes to Kanye West’s Defense and Kanye West Releases Song Defending His Support of Donald Trump). SNL sketches have been more miss than hit, but this parody of A Quiet Place is funny.
GUY: We don't care. Shut up.GIRL: Kanye is a distraction. We should only talk about what's important.
GUY: Like how to survive the monsters.
GIRL: Then I guess also the midterms. 'Cause like, what's happening with that.
Because it's true. Both sides of the political spectrum and news are interested in Kanye's tweets. For us, we're interested in how the left is scrambling after Kanye dares stray from the thought plantation. Read Intentional or Not, Kanye West Just Exposed the Hateful, Leftist Thought-Police. But the overreaction to every little thing to come streaming out like Dragon Energy is a bit much. It's also what Kanye wants. Attention is to Kanye like sound is to the Quiet Place monsters. Misery to feminists. Weakeness to beta male incels. You get the drift.
I'm also fairly certain I never want to know what "scoop-diddy-whoop" means.
