PURE EVIL: Baby Sentenced to Death by Government Healthcare
There are some things in life that should remain private. Like your IBS, your foot fetish, or the lack of underwear under those jeans. When it comes to more important decisions and information, like healthcare, privacy is essential (see California Senate Flips Bird to Taxpayers. Passes Single-Payer Healthcare Bill… and Women’s ‘Healthcare’? Planned Parenthood ONLY Performs Ultrasounds to Kill the Baby). So too is privately funding your own healthcare. When one's government funds it, that government also makes some horrendous calls.
Trigger warning for snowflakes: this story doesn't have a fairytale ending. Move to the UK.
The parents of terminally-ill baby Charlie Gard are 'utterly distraught' and facing fresh heartbreak after losing their final appeal in the European Court of Human Rights.
Chris Gard, 32, and Connie Yates, 31, wanted to take their 10-month-old son - who suffers from a rare genetic condition and has brain damage - to the US to undergo a therapy trial.
Doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where Charlie is being cared for, said they wanted him to be able to 'die with dignity'.
But the couple, from Bedfont, west London, raised almost £1.4million so they could take their son to America but a series of courts ruled in favour of the British doctors.
Let me pause here. The couple has raised their own money to take their own son to the United States for possibly life-saving medical care. The UK government told them no. The UK government has sentenced a child to death. For what reason?
'Charlie's parents also asked the courts to consider whether it would be in the best interests of their son to undergo experimental treatment in the US.
Right here is the problem with government run healthcare. Why is the couple talking to courts at all about the health and life of their child?
'The domestic courts concluded that it would be lawful for the hospital to withdraw life-sustaining treatment because it was likely that Charlie would suffer significant harm if his present suffering was prolonged without any realistic prospect of improvement, and the experimental therapy would be of no effective benefit.
Goosebumps. Everywhere. Feels like I'm reading a horror novel. The government has no business determining whether or not little Charlie should die. That's a family decision. Especially when they've raised over a million big ones for said child's treatment.
I can't. Apparently many of you can't either.
Remember when everyone mocked Sarah Palin when Sarah Palin said Obamacare had "death panels"? She was referring to this kind of bull shit. Where politicians and judges decide where money should go, to which patients, and who should be given a pain pill so they could die.
By the way, when socialist heroes demand "healthcare for all" this is the system they want. I walk that back zero. Here's looking at you, Bernie Sanders.
If you don't think something like this could happen in the United States through a national healthcare system, you're naive. The United Kingdom isn't exactly Uganda. They're a first world nation, one of the cultural hearths of western civilization. They're going to execute a baby. A baby who could've possibly been saved in the United States. A country which, for the time being, does not have a national healthcare system. Put that in your hookah and smoke it.
But hey, at least healthcare in the UK is free. Right leftists?
For a free extensive analysis of socialistic barbaric healthcare, we present this awesome video. Bon appetit.
