Secret Service investigates all threats against the president. Yes, even the current president. You may think you're being funny, that threatening to kill someone on Facebook is more hilarious than Amy Schumer lecturing about chastity. But when a threat is made against the leader of the free world, there are people whose job it is not to laugh.

Some of the exchange was captured on video, with the woman falling back on her right to free speech when the agent confronted her for allegedly asking on Facebook of the president, “Can someone shoot the fool between the eyes already and call it a day.”

Yes, Sally, you have the First Amendment right to say someone should shoot the president. However, the Secret Service has a job to do when you're all free speechy about President Trump being shot between the eyes. It's the same job they had during President Obama's term. They'll have the same job when it's President Ocasio-Cortez.

The moral of this story is don't be a dick. Presidents in the past have been assassinated and it's the Secret Service's job to make sure presidents are not assassinated. They must follow up on cases where someone makes threats about assassinating the president. Even if they live in a messy apartment.
