School Shooting Survivor Blasts Virtue Signaling Against the NRA
The media has been very choosy over which teenage voices are celebrated. We mainly see the ones who repeat leftist anti-gun talking points. Young gun control activists get hashtags and labeled "the leaders of the future." Not so much anyone else with any other opinion (see Student Blasts Resource Officer Who Cowered During Parkland Shooting and Video: Parkland Survivor's Father Details CNN's Anti-Gun Bias). Suffice it to say, Kyle Kashuv probably won't get many media hits outside of Fox News. At least until he gets it right and says Dana Loesch literally hands out AR-15s to 5th graders.
Instead, he wants to focus on all the ways the government failed us.

On the CNN town hall, we had the sheriff who was virtue-signaling against the NRA and against guns when he didn't even act properly. The armed officer outside... let my classmates die when he stood outside and waited.
Kashuv's broader point is important. When most people say #NeverAgain, they mean they want to keep schools safe. Not necessarily in a political way. We're not all going to agree on each and every point, but the important thing is having a conversation. Wherein people aren't being stripped of their rights.
There's the regular folk who want a solution to the violence. Then you have a handful of students who just want to repeat leftist talking points. With a professional looking social media strategy. That I'm sure they totally came up with on their own in the past week. Those are the students who are being celebrated by the media and Hollywood. They are also the ones claiming anyone who disagrees with them has blood on their hands.
It all sounds rather familiar.
