Ronan Farrow: Schneiderman Accusers Warned About "Good of Democrat Party"
My brain can’t process this much schadenfreude over what happened to Eric Schneiderman. The New York Democrat was forced to resign after this damning report about the (now former) NY Attorney General documented his alleged sexual misconduct. On top of his drug and alcohol addiction. The propensity to being a sadistic freak. Shameless appropriation of rape culture. I pray for justice for the accusers. I don't want to make light of the accusations and what they allegedly experienced. Okay? Okay. But what happened to Schneiderman couldn't happen to a nicer douchebag.
Though according to the reporting, he wasn't the only Democrat complicit in the longtime cover-up.
After the former girlfriend ended the relationship, she told several friends about the abuse. A number of them advised her to keep the story to herself, arguing that Schneiderman was too valuable a politician for the Democrats to lose. She described this response as heartbreaking. And when Schneiderman heard that she had turned against him, she said, he warned her that politics was a tough and personal business, and that she’d better be careful. She told Selvaratnam that she had taken this as a threat.
Ronan Farrow, working on back to back Pulitzers, discussed this on CNN.
A lot of their friends and loved ones said, ‘Don’t do it. Don’t speak out against him. And in some cases, that was because they feared the risk of reprisals. They feared him threatening people — using his office and power to say he could wiretap people or he could come after people. But also in some cases, Alisyn, those friends warned them off of talking because they thought that he had the power to do too much good for the Democratic Party.
Lol, "friends."
Don't get it twisted. I'm in no way implying that there aren't people in the Republican Party who don't say similar things when it's one of their own. But Republicans aren't the ones constantly virtue signaling about how pro-woman they are. Case in point:
My personal favorite:
We all know what happens here. New York voters replace a corrupt Democrat with another Democrat. It's the circle of life in Albany. But still, don't let the door hit Schneiderman in the ass on the way out.
He might enjoy it. But only if he can punch it back.
