Rob Schneider Offers Advice to Shane Gillis While Brilliantly Insulting Critics
Shane Gillis was canned from SNL because he sent a box of decomposing rat heads to Margot Robbie as an offering of his undying love. Nah, he said a slur during an obvious joke. Here to offer advice, Rob Schneider, who also slapped everyone else who couldn't take a joke. Pretty brilliant if you ask me.
Dear @Shanemgillis As a former SNL cast member I am sorry that you had the misfortune of being a cast member durin… https://t.co/qzHDoNEZeS— Rob Schneider (@Rob Schneider) 1568673618.0
I don't think Schneider even cares that Shane told an Asian joke. I'm not even sure the joke was a misfire as much as it hit "meh" on the giggle scale.
The point remains, sometimes jokes aren't funny. So what? Sometimes jokes are offensive. Again I say, so what? But if anyone should decide when and if a comedian should be taken to the public square for metaphorical execution, it shouldn't be a bunch of internet pinheads who's idea of good LOLs are cat videos. Which isn't a slight against cat videos, don't misunderstand. But a cat contorting itself into a fishbowl isn't the same as making a brilliant comedic sketch about upsetting the alphabet people all riding in a car.
No one should get canceled over a joke. There, I said it.
