It started when losing SuperBowl quarterback Cam Newton spoke to the press after the game.

So Rob Lowe effectively echoed what notorious right wing nutjobs like the New York Times and The Daily News have said. Since Lowe has white skin and Cam Newton has dark skin however, the #SJW idiots came out of the woodwork.

Now Lowe, who also apparently enjoys hobnobbing at New Orleans Saints games with the hatemonger-stars of Duck Dynasty, was immediately taken to task by many on Twitter for insinuating that Newton was a bad example to kids.

The "rapist" tweets stem from this incident in the 80s. He had consensual sex with someone who lied about their age. Actually, two someones, but her friend was 23. Far be it from me to deem that morally acceptable, but come on. This was a famous 80's teen star getting down with groupies, not a perverted child molestor. Let's get real.

None of that has to do with the fact that he said what a lot of people have been thinking about Cam Newton. The guy's kind of an ass. The only problem is that he has a higher level of melanin in his skin, therefore Rob Lowe must remain silent. Otherwise

It's football. You're watching other men throw around a pigskin in tights. You're not even the one in tights. You're just watching said men in tights. Nothing you've done could have affected the outcome of the game. No matter how many crappy beers or cheese-its you consumed, the real athletes were going to determine the outcome of that game regardless. So who cares about one man's opinion? Just calm down and go back to your "man-cave" to which you've been relegated by your wife who actually runs the house, while you convince yourself that you're "manly" for watching other men compete.
