I know, I know. Everybody loves Donald Trump. He's not afraid to speak his mind. He's making waves. He's driving the narrative.

He's basically the Barack Obama of 2016. *GASP*

RINO, you say! Where do I write my NASTY COMMENT, you say?

Hold up. All I'm saying is that Trump's popularity is eerily reminiscent of Obama's 2008 popularity. Obama said things people liked to hear. His track record was abysmal, but it didn't matter. He was a celebrity, and people love popularity.

But this is completely different! Is it?

I love that Donald Trump is making people think. I love that he's bringing attention to the insane immigration problems in America. But I have to say, I'm a little concerned about the celebrity-mob mentality engulfing his candidacy. It's as though people don't know that he isn't - and I mean really, really is NOT - a Conservative. Unless, of course, supporting abortion, gun control, socialized medicine, the Clinton Foundation, and giving over half a million to Democratic candidates (more than he gave to Republicans, btw), makes you a Conservative. If that's the case... Donald Trump is aces!

I also love that Donald Trump isn't afraid to call out his fellow candidates on, well, anything he feels like. But this time, he may have bitten off more than he could chew.

Again, I love that Donald Trump is bringing so much attention to illegal immigration. But blaming the problem on Rick Perry?

Let's think about this now... a man who's switched political parties at least 5 times since 1980, who's never held political office, who's never created/enforced policies of any kind whatsoever, just took a pot shot at one of the greatest Governors of one of the most successful states in the US. Rick Perry is arguably the individual who's taken more tangible measures to stop illegal immigration than anyone else in America.

Grab the popcorn, cuz Rick Perry's a Texan and he ain't goin down without a fight. Check out this epic rebuttal he filmed, just for Trump... and yes, he suggests that the Donald is the one who REALLY needs glasses:

"No one knows the concerns Americans have about our porous borders than I do... I know there can be no national security without border security... under my leadership, Texas dedicated nearly a billion Dollars to border security... I told President Obama, if Washington won't secure the border, Texas will.

You might have forgotten, Donald, that I deployed the Texas National Guard to supplement our state law enforcement surge operations... and I'm guessing you might not know that that deployment resulted in a 74% decrease in apprehensions. Those are real results, not just rhetoric.

I know securing the border is going to take a lot more than just building a wall... I also know that your comments about Mexicans are offensive.

Donald, you might want to take a trip down to Texas sometime to learn... otherwise, your remarks might make for good reality TV, but they're way out of touch with reality."

Aaaand boom goes the dynamite.
