REVIEW: Taylor Swift's Feminist Documentary Disaster!
Ah Taylor Swift. The level of restraint I'm exercising in order to not type lyrics from TSwift's many hit singles, all for the sake of puns, is award-worthy. Applaud me. But seeing as how Tay-tay might be a lost soul, newly baptized in woke culture, I shall skip right to the point: the Netflix documentary "Miss Americana" is just sad. If you haven't yet watched it, spoiler alert: a whiny feminist whines about a great many points most of us in the real world have understood for years. Here, let Steven Crowder explain in his review:
Third-wave feminism, an offshoot of modern leftism where victim culture thrives, has left many women feeling as if they're poor, put-upon little ladies just because they're ladies. As Steven points out, no. Related: War on Women: Here's How Feminism Just Cheated These Formula One Women Out of Jobs.
The sad thing is, anyone with a modicum of worldly understanding knows reality is quite different than what leftism says it is. Women and men face daily struggles because life is just tough. Women do not have a monopoly on victimhood anymore than leftists have a monopoly on empathy. As such, no amount of leftism, feminism or any other kind of -ism is going to make Taylor — or anyone else — happy.
Except maybe a hottie boyfriend with six-pack abs. I'm just saying. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
